Adapter/gun-applied polyurethane foam

Product information and downloads

Tested and certified for fire safety

This flame-retardant polyurethane foam is an ideal material for preventative fire safety on windows and doors. It can be used for providing an insulating seal on perimeter joints. The special foam adheres to all common building materials. If it is used between solid mineral or metallic building materials, 806 Brandschutz Schaum is rated at building material class B1. In all other applications, it falls under building material class E under DIN 13501-1. Once cured, the red polyurethane foam is semi-hard, predominantly closed-cell and moisture-resistant.

Applications

Main applications

Illustration von Brandschutzdichtungen für Fenster und Türen, Flammen im Vordergrund
Fireproof seals in building and construction
Highly flame-retardant materials in buildings must be jointed using tested fire protection sealants.
Filling wall openings
A safety valve makes it easier to carry out the foaming process in cavities using polyurethane foams.

Other applications

Sealing metal fire doors
The non-corrosive properties of fire protection sealants prevent damage to metal parts.
Sealing fire-retardant plasterboard
In interior spaces, low emitting fire protection sealants are used to seal flame-retardant materials.
